HOW TO USE

No matter where you sit on the skincare spectrum, from no-clue novice to glowing guru, with our simple range of highly effective skincare products we’ve got your back. Here are a few suggestions to give you a foot-up:

SKINCARE STATUS: Novice

Current routine:

You once got good results washing your face with a sample bar of soap from the race pack after a particularly muddy mountain bike race, but you’re not really into washing your face…like, ever.

You use an SPF when the sun’s out because your mom drummed the risks of skin cancer into you as a lightie, but aren’t really phased if you get a little sunburn. You think that’s it’s either too early, or what isn’t broken doesn’t necessarily need fixing.

Skincare is a foreign concept (what is a routine anyway?) but you’re perhaps interested in treating your face a little better.

Suggested routine: (ease into it)

  • Face Wash: Use once per day (night). Once you adopt this as a regular habit, start using mornings as well. Try to leave the product on your face for a minute or so before rinsing off.
  • Moisturiser SPF50: Apply every morning (come rain or shine), and re-apply regularly if outdoors for prolonged periods.
  • Intensive Moisturiser: Apply at night after washing your face. Start by using this ±2-3 times per week. Gradually increase usage to every night once your routine becomes a habit.

SKINCARE STATUS: Amateur

Current routine:

You’ve dipped your toe into the world of skincare but, like many other guys out there you’re quite overwhelmed by it all and have only encountered speed bumps.

Most skincare brands communicate to an advanced female market. In retail stores you get the uncomfortable feeling the sales consultants are on a commission structure. You’ve thrown a few products that are labelled ‘For Men’ into your shopping basket, but have haven’t seen decent results.

As a last hurrah you’ve outsourced the health of your important face to someone more clued up than you: your partner. Even though they gave you some of their old but unused stuff, you usually nick their premium imported products and use them on the sly. Your current regime is okay and you get by, but it would be nice to level up.

Suggested routine:

  • Face Wash: Use morning and night. Leave on for ±1-2 mins before rinsing.
  • Serum: Apply mornings to clean, dry skin – but ease into it very slowly (±1-2 times per week) and increase gradually over the following weeks.
  • Moisturiser SPF50: Apply every morning (come rain or shine) after Serum, and re-apply regularly if outdoors for prolonged periods.
  • Intensive Moisturiser: Apply at night after washing your face. Start by using this ±2-3 times per week. Gradually increase usage to every night.

SKINCARE STATUS: Advanced

Current routine:

A skincare routine is part of your daily life and over the past few years using product has become second nature to you…in fact it’s like wearing underwear - you feel slightly exposed without it.

You can see and feel the benefits and have started to enjoy the self-care aspect of your routine. You’re being charged like a wounded buffalo for imported products from top international skincare brands, and even though you aren’t sure of the key ingredients, at that price they must contain the good stuff right?!

It would be absolutely ideal if there was a group of products out there that someone with a deep knowledge of skincare has curated into a simple set that contains all the most beneficial ingredients, and ticks all the right skincare boxes.

Suggested routine:

  • Face Wash: Use morning and night. Leave on for ±1-2 mins before rinsing.
  • Serum: If you’re already using a Vitamin C based product, apply 2-3 times per week (mornings) until your skin becomes accustomed to our Serum. If not, ease into it slowly (±1-2 times per week) and increase very gradually over the weeks thereafter.
  • Intensive Moisturiser: Apply every morning (after serum) and every night.
  • Moisturiser SPF50: Apply every morning after Intensive Moisturiser, and re-apply regularly if outdoors for prolonged periods.

SKINCARE STATUS: Professional

Current routine:

Skincare interests you, it’s your jam.  At home your skincare station is overflowing with multiple products from all the top international brands, and you’ve recently been experimenting with different percentages of Retinol.

Your partner steals your products on the sly. The condition of your skin is impeccable at all times and if not, you know how to correct the pH of your acid mantle.

You’re open to trying new products, especially if they contain the right blend of highly efficacious ingredients and you’ll probably augment these with advanced products from other brands.

Suggested routine:

  • Face Wash: Use morning and night. Leave on for ±1-2 mins before rinsing.
  • Serum: Your skin already knows Vitamin C products, but it’s still wise to ease into it before applying every morning (but you know this).
  • Intensive Moisturiser: Apply every morning (after serum) and every night.
  • Moisturiser SPF50: Apply every morning after Intensive Moisturiser, and re-apply regularly if outdoors for prolonged periods.

It will take a little while for your skin to adapt to this new way of life and for you to see the results…remember, good things take time. You will need to commit to using the products daily for a good 2-3 months before you will start to see the positive changes. Be patient, this is not an instant gratification game!
