Apply one/two pumps onto your fingertips and massage into your face. Don’t rub it between your hands before applying – it’s a waste! If you’re new to using Vitamin C, start by applying it every other morning until your skin has built up a tolerance to it. Then you can start using it every day.

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (10%)

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate is an oil soluble derivative of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is a powerhouse ingredient and serves a multitude of purposes. It gives antioxidant protection from UVA and UVB rays, it increases collagen production (collagen is what helps keep your skin firm and wrinkle-free), and it helps fade existing discolouration and prevents new discolouration from forming. However, pure Vitamin C is notoriously unstable when exposed to light and air, and it can be quite hard on sensitive skins. To solve this problem, we have used a derivative which is more stable, gentler on the skin, and still delivers exceptional results.

Hyaluronic Acid

A hero ingredient when it comes to hydration, Hyaluronic Acid (HA) has the ability to hold 1000 times its weight in water (1g of HA can bind 6 litres of water). It is found naturally in your body, but it depletes as we age, with reserves starting to dip from as early as our twenties. Coupled with that is the fact that HA has a short life cycle in the skin, with 30%-50% degrading every 24 hours.

High molecular weight HA is an excellent surface hydrator – it secures moisture and creates fullness by maintaining a ‘reservoir of water’ in the top layers of the skin. It sits on top of the skin and acts like a magnet to anything you put on top of it - this means that the water in your moisturiser (which you would apply on top of your serum) will sit on the skin for longer, keeping everything hydrated, rather than evaporating into the environment. Low molecular weight HA will be able to penetrate deeper into the skin and replenish the reserves on a more cellular level.

Apart from hydration, the skin-related functions include maintaining the skin's elasticity, reducing the skin's inflammatory response, regenerating the damaged skin barrier and plumping up water-loss related wrinkles. Essentially, helping the skin to look and feel healthy and young.
